Developments across Oasis Capital and the group companies.

Offshore fund management regrouped

Oasis grouped its Cayman Islands alternative fund management business, Alternative Capital Strategies, with its proprietary trading management business, Quantitative Trading Technologies. The Cayman group draws on more than ten years of fund management experience. Oasis Group London directors sit in the Cayman management and are approved by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority to represent the Cayman companies and conduct investment business. The group offers fixed-term and open-ended specialist products within the group and to longstanding institutional clients and partners.

XPrime Markets launched

XPrime Markets Ltd was established in 2020 as an FCA-regulated, institutional-only brokerage, an 80% subsidiary of Oasis Capital Markets with the remaining shares held by senior management. XPrime provides spot market execution for group proprietary trading and for house accounts held by asset manager and hedge fund clients, specialising in large trades. Jacob Nel, previously a senior member of the Singapore corporate finance team and formerly CEO of Mex Exchange, joined as CEO of XPrime Markets and a director of the group.

Singapore relocation and group restructuring

Restructuring grouped several EMEA operating units under a London-based holding company, and Oasis Capital moved its operating base from Dubai to Singapore to reflect the importance of developing Asian markets. The new structure and branch offices allow the group to deploy its full range of services to clients worldwide.
